Well, Rappler, if you had a wider following that is integral to the job of informing and keeping Filipinos abreast, you'd probably be invited, too, just like MOCHA USON (who is, by the way, also a government official by virtue of her appointment to the MTRCB).

Alas, you do not, the glorified blog that you are--a blog with a stable of bloggers who, lumped together, can't even come close to one Margaux Uson's following and engagement, and whose only affirmation as individuals is the Facebook verified account "blue check," a testament not so much of public acceptance but of something that has become a truism of sorts, "it's not what you know, it's who you know."

As to Imee, she is an elected government official, isn't she? You gotta problem with that? Take it up with the Ilocanos who voted her into office.

Digital footprints lead NBI to Silawan’s ‘killer’

Photo from Sunstar THE application of the open source intelligence (OSINT) tool on Christine Lee Silawan’s Facebook account helped the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) 7 agents identify the primary suspect behind the girl’s gruesome murder. OSINT is the data collected from publicly available sources to be used in an intelligence context and these include social media networking sites like Facebook. The NBI-Cybercrime Division assisted the NBI 7 agents in tracing the social media user. NBI 7 agents, who used the tool, learned that the 17-year-old primary suspect John (not his real name) had been communicating with Silawan through Facebook messenger. Silawan often tagged John’s Facebook account and she was a follower of his account. The agents then subjected the Facebook account to technical surveillance and examination. Department of Social Welfare and Development Secretary (DSWD) Judy M. Taguiwalo yesterday announced the programs and services that the Department is planning to implement to further help the Lumads or the Indigenous Peoples of Mindanao. “ During our dialogues with your leaders, we were able to learn that the Department’s guidelines cannot effectively and swiftly address the situation of most national minorities, particularly of the Lumads.
