Morato took Facebook to say that some people may not like Arroyo, but the latter “can get things done.” Here’s the complete post from Morato: Ok since some people are questioning the capabilities of the new House Speaker , let's put it this way ... In 2009 I was tasked to begin the Spanish language at Dep Ed where I started in July of the same year. By August , all teachers who underwent training at Instituto Cervantes took a written test which I developed at their regional offices. They were then ready to teach in their respective public schools , Spanish 101. My planning was n

NYU alumna details how LP's grand plan will backfire them down: "Aquino name will do more harm than good"

Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino | VP Leni Robredo | Sen. Antonio Trillanes  If the grand plan of the Yellows is to turn to the name of the Aquinos as a means to save the Liberal Party (LP) in a last ditch effort then it will surely backfire. This is the sentiment of social media influencer Krizette Laureta Chu when she detailed how the LP is on a losing end as more and more of its prominent members successively fail to rake in new supporters, contrary to what they hoped to achieve. With Vice President Leni Robredo as their Opposition Leader, Chu opines that the constant mocking of the Vice President’s competence (or lack thereof) has led to a “wakeup call” for the Yellow political party to find a different means (or different person) to bring into the scene. When the Yellow political party turned to Senator Antonio Trillanes IV, he had resorted to creating a fuss about threats on his life by rounding up more security forces around him which, unfortunately, bac

She did not make pronouncements,”  Deputy Speaker Fredenil Castro of Capiz said. “There was luncheon of members of the House with Speaker Arroyo. Nothing was discussed other than expressing her appreciation for all those who supported her and urging everybody to start working on matters pending with the House, and there was also an announcement that we might able to elect certain officers of the House,”

Sen Lacson defends Duterte: having rescued victims, their lives more important than culprits' rights

Senator Panfilo "Ping" Lacson and President Rodrigo Duterte, photo from  Our Daily Revelations PH Following the controversial line of President Rodrigo Duterte in his State of the Nation Address last week, in which he separated human rights with human lives, " Senator Panfilo "Ping" Lacson made a statement defending the President from criticisms, adding that under the right circumstances, the statement makes sense. "When PRRD said he thinks of human lives more than human rights, I also thought the same in my previous life. When we were rescuing kidnap victims, it was human lives first and foremost. A poor second was the kidnappers’ human rights." The statement was from Duterte's speech, wherein he told human rights activists that they cannot sway him to discontinue with his war against illegal drugs. "If you think that I can be dissuaded from continuing this fight because of demonstrations, your protests, which I, by the

Aquino misunderstands PRRD’s “human lives” | Foreign political expert wrote a guide to understanding the popularity of Duterte

Adam Garrie | President Rodrigo Duterte | Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino President Rodrigo Duterte’s most powerful line during his 3rd State of the Nationa Address (SONA) saying, “your concern is human rights – mine is human lives”, is now being feasted upon by the opposition in an effort to turn it against the President. Former President Benigno Aquino III in particular questioned the rationale and idea behind this statement of Duterte saying,  “can you separate them[human rights and human lives]? Is it possible not to have basic rights that are universal and the same in whatever part of the world? I remember what my father[Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino Jr.] once said, if you allow the rights of another person to be violated, you are paving the way for your own rights to be trampled upon.” For geo-political analyst Adam Garrie, Aquino is just really going out of his way to misconstrue what Duterte meant when he said this. “What the former President seems unable o

Kapamilya writes open letter to ABS-CBN: "Please stop all the black propaganda and deliver your news reports fairly"

Uriel Emmanuel Soriano, a self proclaimed loyal ABS-CBN supporter, wrote an open letter to the major news network after he felt that the news network reported news about President Rodrigo Duterte in a biased way. ABS-CBN Logo and Uriel Emmanuel Soriano / Composite photos from Rappler and Facebook Soriano was clearly upset and frustrated towards the news network, saying that his respect for the network is now gone because of it. According to Soriano, ABS-CBN , and other news networks should be completely unbiased. They are " supposed to be vanguards of responsible, fair, impartial and truthful journalism ". He was particularly disappointed when the headlines of the news reports of ABS-CBN always put the president in a negative light. He says that the reports on the president cursing the pope and him joking about raping an Australian missionary, were all reported inaccurately. Photo from Rappler He calls ABS-CBN " desparate ".
