NYU alumna details how LP's grand plan will backfire them down: "Aquino name will do more harm than good"

Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino | VP Leni Robredo | Sen. Antonio Trillanes

If the grand plan of the Yellows is to turn to the name of the Aquinos as a means to save the Liberal Party (LP) in a last ditch effort then it will surely backfire.

This is the sentiment of social media influencer Krizette Laureta Chu when she detailed how the LP is on a losing end as more and more of its prominent members successively fail to rake in new supporters, contrary to what they hoped to achieve.

With Vice President Leni Robredo as their Opposition Leader, Chu opines that the constant mocking of the Vice President’s competence (or lack thereof) has led to a “wakeup call” for the Yellow political party to find a different means (or different person) to bring into the scene.

When the Yellow political party turned to Senator Antonio Trillanes IV, he had resorted to creating a fuss about threats on his life by rounding up more security forces around him which, unfortunately, backfired badly as the Philippine National Police (PNP) and Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) merely ignored his requests.

And now, they turn to, as Chu calls it, “last card” by summoning former President Benigno Aquino III into the active political scene to, hopefully, taint the current administration’s name and bring back the public trust onto the Yellow camp.

But, Chu explains, this is unlikely as Aquino’s long list of controversy could easily hold the Yellow political party back. From pilfered Yolanda donations, the controversy on the 44 Special Action Force (SAF) from PNP, the Dengvaxia anti-dengue vaccination sham, and the widely known Manila hostage crisis.

All these botches in his track record makes Chu certain that using Aquino as their last card will only end up doing “more harm than good”, thus resulting to not only lesser members on board LP, but even lesser public trust and a negative public image.

Chu’s full post on Facebook reads:

Nag iingay na si Noynoy Aquino.

Nilabas na ng LIBERAL PARTY ang kanilang pinaka huling baraha.

They are banking on the Aquino name, not knowing it will do more harm than good. Not with Noy's history of Yolanda, SAF, HO hostage, Dengvaxia, the China dealings of Trillanes they both wouldnt answer to.

Typhoon Yolanda | The Fallen 44 | Dengvaxia vaccine | West Philippine Sea

Leni calling herself the Opposition leader, and being mocked for her incompetence, and then seeing that nobody is scrambling to join their party, has been a wakeup call that she cannot be the unifier they need.

Trillanes complaining that he had no security detail therefore his life was in danger--and not getting the reaction they wanted--was another wakeup call.

This is the beginning of the absolute end. They've crossed the rubicon, spiraling downward, and there is no turning back.

There is no Yellow-er guy than Noynoy Aquino, and this is their last shot.

The air, it's oh so redolent of desperation.

WORD WAR: Aquino asked Cayetano to 'google’ all answers to his questions

Former President Benigno Aquino III and Foreign Secretary Alan Peter Cayetano, composite photo from GMA Network and The continuing word war between former President Noynoy Aquino and Department of Foreign Secretary (DFA) Alan Peter Cayetano has filled social media with riddles and word plays, including ‘hairstyles’ only to prove whose administration poses the appropriate TRANSPARENCY in its dealings with Beijing on the disputed waters. To recall, Cayetano challenged Aquino on Tuesday to ask former DFA Secretary Albert Del Rosario of how well he handled ‘transparency’ with China under his watch. Cayetano’s latest remark against Aquino came in response to the latter’s suggestion that their methods of disclosure concerning Scarborough Shoal should be as “transparent as his hairstyle”. In an open letter dedicated to Aquino on Friday, Cayetano responded, "While we both lost some of our hair, your administration lost control of Scarborough and a

UST alumnus says panic due to inflation is because of false advertising of prices

UST alumnus and social media influencer Mark Lopez recently took to Facebook after he saw a lot of complaints from the Filipino people about the rising prices of good and products due to inflation. Mark Lopez / Photo from Facebook Reports have recently shown that there is a 6.4 rise in prices of products, goods and services in the Philippines. Lopez shared photos of grains of rice showing that they cost P120. The photos were allegedly taken in a store that sold rice in Pagadian City. He said that what causes panic is that people think that the P120 is the cost of 1 kilo of rice. But what he says is that actually the P120 is equal to a "salop" or 2.5 kilos. He said that this makes it P48 per kilo. " So yang P120 PER SALOP eh ang katumbas nyan ay P48 PER KILO pala ," he said. Screengrab from Facebook Lopez adds that this kind of advertising from market seller is actually what is causing panic towards the people and hatred towards the Duterte adminis
