Firing of Leni Robredo as “Drug Czar” is the final nail in the Liberal Party coffin

Things have been moving too fast in Philippine politics lately that it’s hard to keep up. I have been promising myself I would write about current Vice President Leonor “Leni” Robredo’s relentless attacks on the government – a government she is a part of, but before I had a chance to do it, President Rodrigo Duterte offered her a post as co-chair of his anti-drug body Inter-Agency Committe on Anti-Illegal Drugs (ICAD). I also wanted to write about that. Then she accepted it. Before I could write about that too, two weeks later, she got fired! The news of Robredo getting sacked was reported around the globe. It’s one of the worst things that can happen to anyone. It’s the mother of all embarrassing situations for a politician. This is the second time Robredo had been fired from Duterte’s cabinet. It would be unbelievable for someone who has not been following how the events unfolded. For those who haven’t been following it or have been ignoring her statements, they might ask

Source and Original Article:>>> DWIZ882.com

‘Chicken sausage, not kikiam’

The management of Whitewoods Convention and Leisure Hotel has categorically denied in a letter to the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) that it served “kikiam” to Southeast Asian Games athletes billeted in its hotel in Cavite. Whitewoods president and chairman of the board Edgardo M. Capulong told PSC chairman and SEAG chief of mission William Ramirez that what were actually served the athletes for breakfast were “chicken sausage.” “We have proof of this and the PHISGOC food audit team in the hotel that are on top of the food inspection during, before and after cooking and during meal time, can attest to the fact that it was not ‘kikiam.” Capulong was reacting to news reports in which the Philippine football team coach Marnelo Dimzon alleged that they were served “kikiam,” a Chinese dimsum of low nutritional value. “The other Pinoy athletes a

House to summon SEAG ‘fake news’ authors

Workers walk past members' flags next to the Aquatic center in New Clark City in Tarlac, one of the competition venues of the 30th Southeast Asian Games. (AFP) Propagators of “fake news” will be summoned by the House Committee on Public Information after the 30th Southeast Asian Games is over. Kabayan (Kabalikat ng Mamamayan) Party-list Rep. If found guilty, the fake news authors can be held criminally liable, Salo added. “I will investigate fake news being propagated either in the social media or the traditional media,” Salo said on Wednesday. On Tuesday, the Singapore National Olympic Council (SNOC) belied reports that their Muslim athletes were served pork. A spokesperson for SNOC said their chef de mission, Juliana Seow, did not talk to Philippine media about i

Robredo wanted to sabotage ICAD

Photo from The Daily Tribune At last, President Rodrigo Roa Duterte fired Vice President Maria Leonor Robredo as vice chairman of the Inter-Agency Committee on Anti-Illegal Drugs (ICAD). Her ouster had long been overdue, and it was triggered by Robredo herself. The President simply did what was expected of him under the circumstances. Upon assuming the ICAD post, Robredo geared herself on a collision course with President Duterte. First, Robredo announced a “zero-killing policy” that was completely antagonistic to the zealous anti-illegal drugs program the President is known for. In doing so, she virtually branded the President’s campaign as an evil undertaking. Next, Robredo acted on her own as if she was the entire ICAD, and adamantly demanded from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency the release to her of classified intelligence information on so-called “high value targets” being cased by the said anti-narcotics agency. She refused to see that the usefulness of

Ressa was never a war correspondent; she just watched CNN’s video tapes

Photo from Google Images Finally, Rappler Chief Executive Officer Maria Ressa revealed so starkly her delusions,  the absurd extent her humongous lies about our country and the Duterte administration. In a recent “60 Minutes” program of the American TV network CBS, she said: “The situation in Manila is far worse than any war zone that I’ve been in. In a war zone you know exactly where the threats are coming from. I plan my way in and we plan our way out and you’re there for a limited period of time. We’ve been living through three years of this kind of hell.” For somebody who pontificates in detail how to act in a war zone, Ressa was never a war correspondent To bolster her credibility, the “60 Minutes” interviewer, Bill Whitaker, even exaggerated Ressa’s background as a “war correspondent.” In Whitaker’s very first statement in his in troduction to his interview, he says, “For more than 30 years, Filipino journalist Maria Ressa has risked her life in w

The Maria Ressa scam: How a tax evader fooled the world’s journalists by crying wolf for press freedom against President Duterte

Photo from Mindanation Maria Ressa spends a lot of her time giving interviews about the dire situation in the Philippines. She says it’s worse than any war zone she’s reported from. She says this often. That the Philippines under President Duterte is a “hell” “worse than any warzone” she’s reported from is one of her most used soundbites. She says journalists aren’t safe. She says she has been exiled and persecuted because her online blog outfit and self-styled “news” site Rappler, which was actually found to have violated Philippine laws by being funded by foreign investors to the tune of several million dollars, is no longer allowed to operate as a legitimate press vehicle in the Philippines. She must live abroad, enjoying her dual citizenship status, to avoid persecution. All her personal trials are because she spoke up against the Dictator Duterte, she says. But court records say it’s because she slandered a private businessman with corruption allegations with no proof, p
