Sari-saring paglabag sa quarantine protocols, trending nitong Holy Week

Cute sa paningin ng marami ang mga bagong silang na sanggol sa Paolo Hospital sa Samut Prakan, Thailand, dahil sa mini face shields na isinuot sa kanila bilang proteksiyon laban sa COVID-19.
Sad to say, hindi pa ginagawa sa mga ospital sa Pilipinas ang pagpapasuot ng mini face shields sa mga bagong panganak na sanggol dahil hindi ito ang priority.


 Ang Dr. Jose Fabella Memorial Hospital sa Sta. Cruz, Manila, ang national maternity hospital ng ating bansa.
Sa kasalukuyan, halos isandaan ang bilang ng mga sanggol na naka-confine sa naturang ospital.
Ayon sa isang insider, wala pang nagmamagandang-loob magbigay ng mini face shields para sa mga bagong panganak na bata.
Besides, may mas malaking problema ang staff ng Dr. Fabella Memorial Hospital—ang mga pasyenteng nagsisinungaling dahil hindi nila sinasabing nagkaroon sila ng history ng ubo at lagnat.
Marahil sa takot na ma-reject ng ospital, ipinagtatapat lamang nila ang katotohanan kapag na-admit na sila. Kaya tuloy marami ang Persons Under Investigation (PUI) sa nasabing ospital.

BALINTAWAK MARKET CLOSED

Ang hindi pagsasabi ng totoo, ang katigasan ng ulo, kawalan ng disiplina, at pagiging pasaway ng ilang mga Pilipino ang ilan sa dahilan kaya patuloy na tumataas ang bilang ng mga kababayan nating nagpositibo sa COVID-19.
Napatunayan natin ito nitong Holy Week.

BARANGAY LIBIS TRIBUTE TO FRONTLINERS

Nag-trending, nag-viral, at binatikos ang tribute ng Barangay Libis sa frontliners noong April 9 dahil nagtipun-tipon ang mga taong nagparada.
Malinaw na labag ito sa ipinatutupad na social distancing.


 Tumanggap ng kritisismo ang Barangay Libis Chairwoman Leny Pasco-Glivano na nanguna sa tribute parade, pero ipinagtanggol siya ng kanyang mga kaalyado.
Sinabi ng isang defender ni Glivano na hindi ito nagkulang sa paalaala sa kanyang mga nasasakupan na dumungaw na lamang sa bintana at sumilip sa pintuan para magbigay-pugay sa frontliners.
Naging uncontrollable umano ang sitwasyon dahil umiral sa kanilang mga kabarangay ang sobrang excitement, saya, at pasasalamat.

Ganunpaman, hindi ito sapat na dahilan para hindi pairalin ang social distancing, dahil mas mahalaga ang kapakanan at kalusugan ng bawat isa.
Ang latest update, nakatanggap si Glivano ng show-cause order mula kay Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte.
Pinagpapaliwanag siya tungkol sa naganap na tribute parade.


 Sa Facebook post ng anak ni Glivano na si Ariela-Aliera Pasco Glivano, kagabi, April 12, sarkastiko itong nagkomento ng "Okie na? Hindi pa nasuspinde si Mama. Sayang nakapahinga sana."

TRANS WOMAN VIOLATES CURFEW HOURS

Hindi naman umubra ang tapang ng transgender woman na si Martin David Antonio, aka Maria, ng Barangay Cembo, Makati City, sa mga barangay official na kinuwestiyon ang paglabag niya sa ipinaiiral na curfew hours.
Si Antonio pa ang may ganang i-Facebook Live ang pakikipagmatigasan niya sa barangay officials at ang kanyang pauli-ulit na pagbanggit sa pangalan ng isang "SPO4 Mercedita Latosa."


 Buong pagmamayabang na sinabi ni Antonio na inabot siya ng curfew sa kalsada dahil pinalipas muna niya ang kanyang kalasingan, at hindi siya puwedeng hawakan o lapitan ng mga barangay official.

Walang nagawa ang pagtataray at name-dropping ni Antonio.
Nagtagumpay siyang hindi mahawakan ng mga barangay official, pero sa huli, kumalat ang kanyang mugshot habang hawak ang listahan ng mga kasong kinakaharap niya.

NO EXTENSION OF ECQ

Ngayong Easter Sunday, April 12, pinabulaanan ni Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles ang kumakalat na balitang may posibilidad na muling magkaroon ng extension ang Enhanced Community Quarantine sa Luzon.
"Hindi totoo 'yan. Fake news naman 'yan.
"Kung may nagpapakalat man nito, hindi namin pinag-uusapan yung extension ng lockdown after April 30," pahayag ni Nograles sa panayam sa kanya.


 Sana nga, panalangin ng maraming may nakakain pa, hindi na magkaroon ng extension ang Enhanced Community Quarantine.
Pero mangyayari lamang ito kung mananatili sa bahay ang mga Pilipino at magiging considerate sa kapwa—lalo na sa frontliners na nagbubuwis na ng mga buhay.
Ibang klase rin kasi ang mga kababayan nating sinungaling, walang disiplina sa sarili, at pasaway sa panahon ng isang killer virus.

FDA approves first Tawa-tawa capsule supplement versus dengue
